Analisis Permintaan Impor Daging di Indonesia: Pendekatan Error Correction Almost Ideal Demand System

Abstract

Adanya peningkatan permintaan konsumen, produsen daging diminta untuk meningkatkan produksinya dalam mendukung pemenuhan kebutuhan konsumsi daging. Sejumlah impor daging yang berasal dari beberapa negara digunakan untuk memenuhi kesenjangan kebutuhan daging domestik. Tujuan utama dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengestimasi elastisitas permintaan dan pendapatan daging impor baik dalam jangka pendek maupun jangka panjang. Selain itu, Error Correction Almost Ideal Demand System digunakan untuk menganalisis pasar impor. Data ekspor tahunan dari tiga negara dengan pangsa ekspor terbesar dari tahun 1967 sampai 2013 didapatkan dari United Nation Commodity Trade (UN Comtrade). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Australia memiliki pangsa tersebesar sebagai eksportir daging terbesar ke Indonesia. Nilai elastisitas harga sendiri menunjukkan bahwa baik dalam jangka pendek maupun jangka panjang adalah inelastis, hal itu berarti bahwa konsumsi daging impor tidak terpengaruh oleh perubahan harga. Berdasarkan nilai elastisitas pendapatan menunjukkan bahwa daging impor adalah barang normal. Selain itu, New Zealand mempunyai nilai elastisitas tertinggi dalam jangka pendek dan Australia dalam jangka panjang. Elastisitas harga silang menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan kompetisi diantara ketiga negara tersebut.
